Weddings at Bendooley Estate
The Book Barn is the reason most couples fall for Bendooley. High ceilings, exposed timber beams, iron pendants, walls of leather-bound antiquarian books and a big stone fireplace. For a wedding the bookshelves roll away and the whole room opens up. There is also The Stables, and ceremonies happen in the private gardens, at the lake pavilion or out among the vines.

Three very different looks in the one property, which is unusual. Vines at golden hour give you that warm low light along the rows. The gardens and lake pavilion are open and green. Then the barn goes moody and warm the moment the sun drops, which is exactly what 35mm film loves. Having those options in one place means we are not chasing a car between locations while your canapes go cold.
Worth knowing before you plan
Berrima is roughly an hour and a half out of Sydney and an easy run from Wollongong, so I do not need to be anywhere else the night before. If your ceremony is in the vines, the light along the rows is the thing worth building the timeline around. Worth talking about early rather than on the day.
