Weddings across the South Coast
The South Coast is not one kind of wedding. In a single season it can be white sand at Jervis Bay, a garden estate outside Nowra, a farm shed at Berry with a creek running past the ceremony, and a rainforest property in Kangaroo Valley with a sandstone escarpment behind it. Each of those asks something different from a photographer, and knowing which is which before the day is most of the job.
I have been photographing weddings since 2010 and the approach has not changed much: turn up early, work quietly, photograph what actually happens. No shot list to march through, no stiff posing, no half an hour of your reception spent standing in a paddock. The real emotions, the quiet in-betweens, the deep belly laughs and the happy tears.
Because I live in Wollongong, most of the coast is a comfortable drive rather than a travel fee and an overnight stay. Berry, Gerringong and Kiama are close. Nowra, Terara and Numbaa are a straightforward run. Kangaroo Valley and Jervis Bay take longer than the map suggests, so I build the time in and arrive unhurried.

South Coast FAQ
South Coast questions,
answered straight
How much does a South Coast wedding photographer cost?
My wedding collections start at $4,150 for six hours, with most couples booking seven hours at $4,550. Eight hours is $4,950. Elopements and small weddings start at $2,550 for two hours, extra hours are $400, and a roll of 35mm film can be added for $250.
Which South Coast wedding venues do you shoot at?
The venues I most want to photograph on the South Coast include The Merribee at Numbaa, The Woods Farm and The Cove at Jervis Bay, Willow Farm and The Homestead at Berry, Terrara House at Terara, The Co-Op Gerringong, and Wildwood and La Belle Vallee in Kangaroo Valley.
Do you charge travel for South Coast weddings?
No. Everywhere from the northern Illawarra down through Berry, Gerringong, Kiama, Nowra, the Shoalhaven, Jervis Bay and Kangaroo Valley is inside the area I cover from Wollongong, with no extra travel charge. Weddings further afield than that are quoted individually, so just ask.
